Borealis is a weather forecast app designed for the Apple iPad and aids northern lights enthusiasts in finding the best viewing conditions. This app is equipped with a red light filter to protect night vision and not blind the user out in the field, and can be turned on/off on start up. This weather app comes with built in map capabilities and user feedback so people can see live conditions of the aurora borealis. The app features a predominantly dark color scheme, in a highly legible format with contrasting bold colors for accents.
